Verdict
Previously, I was super disappointed by Ultra Matte Lax and I've become very cautious with the colours on their website. Not to mention that Ultra Matte is superb drying too. So this round, I ordered two Ultra Satins with one of their all-time favourites Ultra Matte Bumble.
Turns out, the colours are just fine for me in an Asian skin tone. Although they are slightly darker or redder than expected, I could still use them over some occasions. There isn't much that I can talk about these mainly because the colours are pretty mainstream already. Many companies had already made similar colour tones. What I can really talk about is their texture.
Ultra Satin is a bit drying but it's not as bad as Ultra Matte. There's not as much chapping and the product won't start to fall off in dried patches. If you want to use Ultra Matte, you really need to use a great lip moisturizing product. Otherwise, you'd end up with horrible aftermath of dried, chapped lips with horrible temporary-tattoo-like patches.
Overall these colours are Asian friendly enough and I'll move on to newer colours or lip products once I'm done with these :)
