Review | Etude House Cherry Sweet Color Lip Balm BE101

So, I've mentioned in my previous posting that I've pulled my boyfie into Etude House in Sunway Pyramid after telling him that Flamingo Bloom is having a collaboration with them. (He loves milk tea.) By purchase a drink, you'll get a 10% discount in Etude House, vice-versa, if you purchased anything in Etude House, you'd get a 10% discount for Flamingo Bloom. After making a short math discussion, we'd settled with buying Flaming Bloom first, then Etude House.

Colour System

This product range has 5 colours in total. The first section features two colours that change depending on your lip moisture level. 

The second section features colours that have vivid tinting colours in the balm.

I only chose one colour, which is the one at the end (BE101), because I feel that it is more suitable for a daily look and I wanted a lighter coloured lip colour with moisturizing effects.

Swatch

The gliding was smooth and the colour payoff was decently well-done as seen from the photos. You can build colour with multiple swipes

I've used a cotton pad with some makeup remover to go one swipe on the swatches and they came off effortlessly. The staining was minimal too.

Art Palette 

Verdict

The gliding was super easy and although the colour payoff was not intense, it was not expected to be that way as it is just a lip balm. Lip balms are designed to have a minimal colour deposit so it is fine. The colour fits the everyday makeup look as well as another makeup look if the user intends to look more sweet and innocent. Although it is already glossy, the lip balm has some glitter in it which enhances the shiny appearance on the user. 

Smell: Similar to strawberry flavoured Pokki sticks

Texture: Glossy smooth

Colour: Decent deposits; has glitter

The smell of the lip balm reminds me of the strawberry flavoured Pokki sticks which smelled absolutely delicious. The length of the lip balm was surprisingly long as a typical one would usually be shorter. The hardness of the stick is nicely hard as compared to typical lip balms, good for people who are as rough as me. The texture of the lip balm is smooth and lightweight. It does not give the sticky sensation, so as the residue. Re-application would be needed after consuming food and/or beverage. The tinting feature is not prominent as it is not a main feature of lip balms.

Reason: This product can be easily substituted with other lip balm products (excluding the smell) and I would like to try other products that are made with different formulas too. So depending on the availability of substitute, my decision to repurchase varies.
