In Beauty Luxola Unboxing ZoelieWho

Unboxing| realTechniques Starter Set by Sam&Nic | Luxola

For those who had been here for so long (since the beginning of Pretz 'n' Pickle), you would know that shopping in Luxola is what I've been doing recently.
I live in Malaysia so it's no fun to be unable to shop for all these goodies physically but Luxola has a wide variety of products and they offer free-shipping for any orders over RM40, which is the real deal if you're talking realistic.
Also, if you have been reading my recent posts, you'll realize that my dslr has not been fixed yet, which frustrates me because I couldn't find the cap for the "lens hole".

But let's get back into the topic, shall we? :)

Here are the details printed on the packaging.

I was quite confused when I open this because there's no sign of tapes on the top and bottom of the packaging.
Couldn't open it until I decided to pull the cover harder.
It seems like it was designed like this, to let customers know whether it's perfectly 'sealed' or not.

This is what you will get from the box.
It's a set of brush -specially for eyes but are multi-purpose too- and a duo-use case.

Here's a close up of the brushes before taking them out.
They are neatly arranged and all of them have the same side of the brush facing upwards.
The brushes are really nice to touch but I think Sephora has better once in terms of texture.
They are dark from root and the tip is covered with white colour, which is easier for you to know your 'current colour'.

The case can be used as a stand horizontally and vertically.
It is also for you to bring your brushes everywhere.
It's light and small, a 'yes' for travel-lovers.

From the left picture, it shows the other side of the brushes which are labelled with their function.
These brushes can be used with other purposes, such as contouring, lining, concealing and even as a lip brush.
The right picture shows you how fluffy the brushes are.
They are soft and firm, which doesn't seem to look like those shedding-type of brushes.

The brushes are longer than Forever 21's basic brushes.
The weight: feels the same.
realTechniques' brushes are slightly bigger and they have a grip, which F21's don't.

Overall:
I find it amusing.
I've been wanting a set of professional brushes for so long and I can't wait to use them.
Brushes doesn't look like the poke-ie type, which is good.
It can be used with other purposes and they are all light-weighted, which is great, especially for travelling, you know, when you don't feel like bringing much.
The case is a bit weird looking for me but it's still acceptable.

I haven't use it yet so it's a 7/10 from me.
I'm keeping the 2/10 for the makeup process and the other 1/10 is because of the casing.

Haul | Luxola | Sleek True Colour • DuWop Reverse Lipliner

Hey my lovely chics :)
I just got my parcel which I ordered 5 days ago.

I still haven't gotten my DSLR back yet so for this post, the photos are still a bit low quality here.
Howeverrrr, let's not let it stop us from this.

Let's begin :D

in Peaches and Cream
To be honest, I was expecting it to be longer.
I guess it's not really as long as normal lipsticks, for the price of RM43.
Cute design on the packaging :)

The colour on the packaging and the colour of the lipstick does look a bit different.
The lipstick looks more orange-y than the colour on the packaging.

I did a swatch and I have to say, it's very pigmented even with a soft and smooth glide.
The colour does pop out.
The output is more towards the colour on the packaging.
Just like it's name, it's slightly pinky colour, rather than total-orange-colour.

Next product:

I'm bad at colouring my lips and I have no lip pen at all so I thought this could help.

It's like a lip liner or a lip pen, same function but in the opposite way.

It comes with a sharpener. The size is just about the size of NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencil.
You can also use NYX's sharpener for this :)

I drew it on my skin and it looks transparent but you can still see it if you look very closely.

These are what I bought in this order.
They cost me RM68 (discounted RM40) with free shipping for order over RM40.
Go check out Luxola when you have time :)

Haul | Luxola | 3CE foundation • facemaker • loosepowder

Heyyyyylooo :)
(I'm supposed to post this days ago... sorry :/ )

If you've noticed, I had been buying makeup products from Luxola and not even stopping by other makeup stores. I had to admit that I love Luxola. . . I'm serious. . . :) because they have lots of sales (shhh..)

My parcel arrived 3 days after I confirmed my order and I got so excited, I accidentally dropped the box... but no fret, they wrapped everything up with bubble wraps and even the inner layer of the parcel is covered with bubble wrap.

First thing I do: tear the parcel open (*ehhem* aggressively and) excitedly, took an Instagram picture and tried it on the right side of my face.

Now these are pretty much the products that I've bought for this haul.
(Bad photo quality due to DSLR is not available at the moment)
I bought three 3CE products from Luxola.

Let's begin :D

·
in Natural Ivory
·
Just like the name, it's pretty watery comparing to other foundations out there. The colour blends well to the skin but coverage may not be as much as other foundations. I like this one more comparing to my Holika Holika Petite Jelly BB Cream :)

·
·
The powder is really light and smell-less comparing to other loose powder that I've ever encountered. It really blends well to the skin and felt like I had nothing on my skin but I can start see oiliness on my skin around 5-8 hours later.

·
in Beige
·
It's probably the way they like it, I'm not sure, but the bronzer seems colourless to me in 2-4 swipes using a brush. Maybe they are going for the natural-look range...? But it's still there, the colour I mean. I can see it when I remove the makeup. Though, it's not as pigmented as I thought it would be.

So yeah, that's pretty much what I bought for this haul. I know it's not much but, you know, 3CE is not in the affordable range like Sleek Makeup or NYX Cosmetics but it's still worth the buy :)

All three of this costs me RM196 with 20% discount from Luxola with free shipping for orders over RM40.
Go check it out if you have time :)

FACE-SIZED BIG PALETTE! | Brief review for Zoeva | Mini Luxola Haul

Hi guys!
After 5 days placing my order, my stuffs from Luxola finally came!
It's pretty quick, to be honest, 'cause they are from Singapore and FREE SHIPPING FOR ANY ORDER OVER RM40!

So it was International Women's Day when I placed my orders and they allow buyers to use the 25% discount on all the normal price and SALE ITEMS!

I got two things from Luxola.
One is the Zoeva Face Contour Palette and
one is the Zoeva Graphic Eyes + Nude Reflection.

I'M JUST SO EXCITED TO GET THESE THINGS
especially when I saw how BIGGG the palette actually is!
At first, I was thinking that the palette would be as big as an average size of hand.
BUT when I went back to check out if the palette was out-of-stock (which it is), I saw the measurements written on the detail page and I. WAS. SHOCKED.
Apparently a size of a pan was SIX POINT TWO CM BIG!

The original price was RM84, then after a 45% discount it went to RM 46.
With the Int Women's Day discount, I got the palette at the price of RM34.50.

So, here is the palette out of the box :)

The surface of the palette gets dirty pretty easily especially when my fingers (after dabbed on the powders) touched it.

The back of my palette also has this 'scar' :(
I'm just gonna pretend that this is just part of the design.

I did swatches on my arm and the colours aren't strong enough.
But I think it's good enough especially for people with fair skin.
Mine is slightly yellowish so it will be a bit difficult for me to use.
Starting from my wrist, it began with the
white, light beige, warm pink, fair beige, dark brown and pink.

If you'd like to know how big it really is, here is a picture of the palette next to a normal-sized novel (obsession with The Shadowhunter Chronicle is too strong) and also a metal ruler.

Next up:
I got this Zoeva Graphic Eyes + Nude Reflection for RM18 after a 25% discount (Normal Price: RM24)

I love how they design it.
The surface texture of the cap and the pencil is different and it gives an elegant kind of feeling.

They claim that the pencil is waterproof.
I did a small test with fast-running water (after recording my video) aaand it is
BUT
it's not smudge-proof so when you wipe it, the colour will be wiped off.

After that I did the glide-test.
It is smooth and when you apply it, you do NOT need much force for strong pigmented colour.

And here's a close-up of the pen :)

I am very satisfied with this order! :D
I cannot tell you comments like professionals because I still consider myself as a beginner.
But with that few tests on my face and hand, I feel that these products are really worth the price.

(especially when they were from Germany!)

You can watch my video about it here :)
That's all for today.
Bai :D

Review | Sleek MakeUp

Hey guys :)
So I was kinda wandering around the internet and then I finally brought myself to a website called Luxola, which I have been preventing myself from going in because I thought the price is something like Lazada and Zalora.... SCARY!

But no.
I found some of the products pretty affordable, like, I go to the View All Makeup page and clicked the sorting to 'lowest price' and then the lowest price was RM15.

So lets get back to the topic.

I found a brand called Sleek with prices like NYX (around like that) and I went to Youtube to check on the reviews. (Youtube is such a reliable site to check reviews ;) ) Turns out that a LOT of Beauty Youtubers love their products very much. This Youtuber here did a review for their 6 eyeshadow palettes, 5 Brushes and a Face palette and I think that her opinions are honest enough for you to consider whether to buy them or not. Another Youtuber also bought the palettes and some other things like mascara, lip gloss, etc. (This is not a promoting session, so no worries.)

Now because I wanted to compare the prices of their products that you could get here in Malaysia, I also went to Maqup and Colours Cosmetics to check out the prices and this is what I found.
_____________________________________________________________
Here is a list from low to highest. (For Sleek)
  • Prices: Maqup, Colours Cosmetic, Luxola
  • Amount of Products: Colour Cosmetic, Maqup, Luxola
*Additional Info:
  • Free Shipping for a certain amount: Luxola[RM40], Maqup and Colour Cosmetic[RM150]
The list up there is an "average" result, which means some of the products in Maqup may be a lot more expensive in Luxola or Colour Cosmetic.
_____________________________________________________________

So, I watched 3 full videos, one from 2011, two from 2014. Then a conclusion that I got was that the Youtubers love this i-Divine Storm Eyeshadow Palette very much.

They think that the colour is "very/super super pigmented" and "creamy" enough. A lovely thing about it is that you can create a night look or even a day look with it, which is pretty convenient. For the size, they claim that it's "sleek, just like their brand's name Sleek." In Luxola, they sell it RM51.50 but if you want to by a set of two different palettes, or three, they have it too, with a cheaper price. Let's say you wanted to buy a Storm palette with a Natural one, they have it at the price of  RM 95.

I'm definitely going to get one of their products, especially eyeshadow, but that will have to wait until I finish my eyeshadows, like, I still have about 60 eyeshadows, more than 10 colours of lip gloss and about 10 colours of eyeliner with 2 rarely-used mascara.

But I don't have things like bronzer, highlights and primer.
So my focus when to this one:

It is a Face Contour Kit with a bronzer and and a highlighter. This picture shows a 'Light' version of it and it's currently out of stock in Luxola so I couldn't buy it yet. Luxola has tons of choices of products, that I want, currently out of stock and I'm kinda disappointed but I could wait :)

So one of the Youtubers said that it 'is very pigmented and the colour is too dark for my skin, I should have gotten the Light one instead of Medium. " She also thinks that the highlighter is kinda shimmery but it's not so... glittery?

But yeah, pretty much a favourite of hers :)

Some of the Youtubers claimed that Sleek is a highly requested product to be reviewed because, well I think that, they find it cheeky and the price was surprisingly affordable.
But GAAAAAH I can't buy them yet because it would be a waste of money if I did as I rarely use makeup in my daily life. It just feels inappropriate to wear makeup often when you're not really needing it.

And many people would judge you, of course. Sighh I really dislike those people.
But anyways, I'll be checking out the brand Zoeva pretty soon from now(because that's the name of my little sister) and maybe I'll share with you the conclusion of what I found.

Until then, I'll 'see' ya soon ;)
